2009 Event Information

After three very exciting and well patronised years, preparation is progressing well for the 2009 event.  The event will be on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of August.  The field for 2009 has been capped at 50 teams and we have reached grid capacity.

Pre-event document check will be conducted at Bells Hotel Morau Street South Melbourne on Monday 3rd August from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.  In previous years this has proven to be a valuable evening for all teams who can attend to get together and make final preparations for the event.  The Hotel serves dinner from 6.00pm and those wishing to eat before the document check commences should ring the Hotel and make a reservation.

Friday evening park up will again be held this year on the 7th August.  Access to the circuit will be via gate 1A from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.  Garage keys will be available for collection at this time but no document check will be carried out until Saturday morning.

How do I get involved?

It's not just an event for the drivers! A lot of work goes into an event like this on both the organising and competing side of the fence. Officials are needed to help run the event and most teams will gratefully accept extra pit crew to help keep the cars on the track! If you would like to help out as an official in any way, please contact us at info@6hourrelay.com.au
Get behind the event, have some fun, and get a taste of competition. This is a Motor Sport Club development event.
